Step into the colourful world of Henri Matisse to discover artist's treasured objects that influenced his work.
Children will have a unique opportunity to see Matisse's collection of artefacts from all around the world: glass from Spain, furniture from Italy, Buddist statues from Thailand, vases from China, furniture and textiles from North Africa, masks from Congo and many more. Matisse in the Studio exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London ofers a rare glimpse into the artist's personal collection, as well as paintings, sculptures and drawings it inspired.
The session will involve fun activities inspired by Matisse's style, children will be invited to look, discuss and create their own art using different techniques.
The tour is conducted in small groups, suitable for 5-11 years old and lasts 2 hours (2-4pm).
